Starting with the engineering, we are able to size your rangehood, ducting and fans to meet Australian Standards. Makeup air is also a critical consideration to any commercial kitchen. Makeup air being either air conditioned or outside air.
Extraction fans should be fitted with variable speed drives to save energy. Tecair also fit additional fan speed controllers for the restaurant staff to manage.
VOC or Volatile Organic Compounds are coming. In fact, they are already here but the legislation does not yet mandate that extracted kitchen air is treated before being vented to atmosphere. In some jurisdictions, this is changing and VOC’s are to be removed / minimised and particle sizes reduced by treatment at the end of the ducts before being sent to the atmosphere. This improves air quality significantly in cities so why you will eventually have to deal with this in the years to come. Some DA’s are already building this in so we can assist with electrostatic equipment.
Ductwork is sized and made to order. It should have access hatches to allow cleaning of the entire duct.
