QTS appoints new CEO
Quantum Technical Services is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Matthews as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Matthews took up the position on the 9th October and will be based at QTS’s head office in NSW.
Richard succeeds David Hutchison who will retire from QTS after over 30 years at the helm as founder and Managing Director. During this time David has built and transitioned QTS from Australia’s largest silver recovery firm into a market leader and key national player in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
QTS has sales and service branches in all Major Capital cities. The company employs approximately 60 staff nationally. QTS is one of the few businesses in climate control with a national footprint to service national chain stores.
Richard’s appointment as CEO is part of an exciting period of expansion for QTS as the industry will increasingly look to energy efficiency when evaluating its future air conditioning and refrigeration requirements.
“Richard Matthews has a strong business development background”, says David Hutchison, QTS’s Managing Director. “Richard’s experience in the engineering and property services sector will be crucial in ensuring QTS takes full advantage of the growing need for energy efficient and environmentally sensitive climate control”.
Richard has been in the engineering, property and security sectors for over 20 years and has performed as CEO for Leda Security Products Pty Ltd for over 10 years, as that company increased its national footprint and expanded overseas. He has degrees in Commerce and Science from Sydney University.
